Quality Management

Identify and operate a process and work practice management system to achieve the organization's quality goals.

Guidelines:

Activities may include, but are not limited to:

Establishing a quality management system and quality culture

Applying methods to monitor and improve the quality of any aspect of the function, processes, products, services, or data providing advice on the application of appropriate quality management methods achieving and maintaining compliance with national and international standards and internal policies. Internal or external standards usually refer to, but are not limited to, areas such as quality, service, sustainability, and safety.

Quality management: level 3

Uses appropriate methods and a systematic approach to develop, maintain, monitor, and communicate quality and environmental standards. Makes technical changes to quality standards and monitors their updating and dissemination. Distributes new and revised standards.

Quality Management: Level 4.

Assists in the development of new or improved practices and organizational processes or standards. Assists projects, functions, or teams with quality management planning in their area of responsibility. Assists in improving quality systems or services at the local level.

Quality Management: Level 5.

Ensures that projects, teams, and functions have appropriate practices and meet required organizational quality levels. Advises on the application of appropriate quality management practices and standards. Identifies areas where existing processes should be modified based on analysis of audit results. Promotes process improvement by changing approaches and working practices, usually using recognized models. Takes responsibility for overseeing the updating and dissemination of organizational standards.

Quality Management: Level 6

Achieves and maintains compliance with national and international standards as required. Identifies priority areas for quality improvement based on strategy, business objectives, and results of internal and external audits. Initiates appropriate quality management practices in these areas. Initiates process improvement through changes in approaches and work practices, generally using recognized models. Identifies and plans systematic corrective actions to reduce errors and improve the quality of systems and services.

Quality Management: Level 7

Shapes quality strategy and ensures commitment to it by executive management. Develops policies for approval and adoption by organization management. Ensures appropriate technology, procedures, and resources are in place to support the quality system. Plans and monitors quality management system performance and schedule internal quality audits. Determines the extent to which the quality policy and quality system meet the needs of the organization and revises as necessary.
