Innovations

Identify, prioritize, incubate, and take advantage of opportunities provided by information, communication, and digital technologies.

Methodological Guidelines:

This skill focuses on a systematic, organizational approach to innovation. It does not describe personal behaviors such as creativity.

Activities may include, but are not limited to:

Developing and implementing processes, tools, and infrastructures to support innovation

Implementing innovative practices to support iterative/flexible work

Facilitating internal and external communities, employees, business partners, customers, users, and other stakeholders in the innovation process

Providing a structure for managing, monitoring and reporting on the innovation process.

Innovation: level 5.

Manages the innovation pipeline and executes innovation processes. Develops and adapts innovation tools, processes, and infrastructures to support the innovation process. Identifies resources and capabilities needed to support innovation. Encourages and motivates innovation communities, teams and individuals to share creative ideas and learn from failures. Manages and facilitates communication and open exchange of creative ideas among stakeholders and the creation of innovation networks and communities.

Innovation: level 6.

Gaining organizational commitment to innovation. Develops organizational capabilities to drive innovation. Leads and plans the development of innovation capabilities and implementation of innovative processes, tools, and frameworks. Leads communication and open flow of creative ideas among stakeholders and the creation of innovation networks and communities.

Innovation: Level 7.

Leads the development of a culture that encourages innovation, risk-taking, and collaboration. Implements innovation processes across all business units and links strategy implementation to innovation. Aligns organizational and individual goals, measures, and rewards with innovation.
