Coordination of information and technology strategies

Methodological Guidelines:

This skill usually applies in a large organization in which the information and technology strategy function has been delegated to autonomous units, or in a joint venture consisting of independent organizations.

Examples where a common approach would benefit the organization include (but are not limited to) shared services, service integration and management, sourcing, vendor management, cloud strategy, enterprise architecture, and security.

Information systems coordination: level 6

Maintains awareness of the global needs of the organization. Promotes the benefits that a common approach to technology adoption will bring to the business as a whole. Coordinates and collaborates with other staff on the promotion, acquisition, development, and implementation of information systems and services.

Information Systems Coordination: level 7.

Shapes the organization's information management strategy and disseminates policies, standards, procedures, and practices necessary to implement the strategy. Coordinates all aspects of information systems lifecycle management. Represents the interests of the entire organization to general management and external bodies on issues related to information strategy.
