Solution architecture |
Development and dissemination of a multidimensional solution architecture to achieve consistent business outcomes. Methodological Guidelines: Activities may include, but are not limited to: Determining the planned operation and maintenance of the solution in the production environment - includes changes to services, processes, organization and operating models, and technology Ensuring that existing and planned solution components are compatible with relevant architectures, strategies, policies, standards, and practices Consideration of security, privacy and testing requirements for the solution considering appropriate architectures, strategies, policies, standards and practices Identification of suitable cloud services developing roadmaps for migration of components to cloud services developing and promoting an implementation roadmap Providing risk-based governance and management to support solution implementation, including management of change requests and deviations from specifications. Solution Architecture: level 4 Participates in the development of solution architectures for specific business, infrastructure, or functional areas. Identifies and evaluates alternative architectures and trade-offs for cost, performance, and scalability. Identifies and documents architecturally relevant solutions. Prepares specifications for cloud or on-premises components, layers, and interfaces for translation into detailed designs using selected services and products. Supports projects or change initiatives by preparing technical plans and applying design principles. Aligns solutions with enterprise and solution architecture standards (including security). Solution Architecture: level 5. Leads the development of solution architectures for specific business, infrastructure, or functional areas. Leads the preparation of technical plans and ensures that appropriate technical resources are allocated. Ensures that appropriate tools and techniques are available, understood, and applied in architecture development. Provides technical leadership and management of solution development and integration. Evaluates change requests and deviations from specifications and recommends actions. Ensures proper application of appropriate technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices (including security). Solution Architecture: level 6. Leads the development of complex solution architectures, ensuring compliance with agreed upon requirements. Establishes policies, principles, and practices for selecting solution architecture components. Manages trade-offs and balances functionality, service quality, and systems management requirements within a significant area of the organization. Communicates proposed solutions to stakeholders. Coordinates and manages target architecture across multiple projects or initiatives. Maintains a stable, viable architecture and ensures design consistency and adherence to appropriate standards across multiple projects or initiatives. |
