Managing the full life cycle of assets

Asset Management: Level 2

Uses consistent procedures to create and maintain an accurate asset register. Performs activities related to asset management. Compiles regular reports to facilitate asset management activities and decision making.

Asset Management: Level 3.

Applies tools, techniques, and processes to create and maintain an accurate asset register. Compiles reports and analyses to support asset management activities and decision making.

Asset Management: Level 4.

Oversees assets in one or more significant areas, providing full asset lifecycle management. Compiles and analyzes rosters and histories of authorized assets and verifies that all these assets are in a known condition and location. Acts to identify and correct potential unauthorized use of assets.

Asset Management: Level 5.

Manages and maintains compliance of IT and service assets with business and regulatory requirements. Identifies, assesses, and communicates related risks. Ensures coordination between asset controllers, infrastructure teams, and the business, optimizes value, maintains control, and ensures compliance with relevant legal regulations.

Asset Management: Level 6

Defines asset management strategy for the organization. Communicates policies, governance, scope, and roles related to asset management. Promotes awareness of and commitment to the role of asset management in the continued cost-effective and efficient delivery of services. Provides information and advice on complex asset management issues. Initiates impact assessments resulting from decisions to obtain, change, or continue ownership or use of an asset, system, or service.
