Methodological Guidelines:

Activities may include, but are not limited to:

Assessing the significance and potential impacts - which may be threats or opportunities communicating the impact of emerging technologies.

Assessments may address business drivers, costs, productivity, or sustainability.

Monitoring Emerging Technologies: Level 4

Supports the monitoring of the external environment and evaluation of emerging technologies. Contributes to reporting, technology roadmaps, and knowledge and opinion sharing.

Monitoring Emerging Technologies: Level 5

Monitors the external environment to gather information on emerging technologies. Assesses and documents impacts, threats, and opportunities for the organization. Creates reports and technology roadmaps and shares knowledge and ideas with others.

Monitors emerging technologies: level 6.

Plans and leads the identification and evaluation of emerging technologies and assesses potential impacts, threats, and opportunities. Creates technology roadmaps that align organizational plans with new technology solutions. Interacts with and influences relevant stakeholders to gain organizational commitment to technology roadmaps. Develops organizational recommendations to monitor emerging technologies. Collaborates with internal and external parties to facilitate intelligence gathering.
